Use WSIB's online clearance services to look up the business.
2. VERIFY THE BUSINESS
Make sure the legal or operating name and address match the business you are hiring.
3. VERIFY THE CURRENT CLEARANCE
Check that the clearance is valid for the dates the work will take place.
4. CLEARANCE STATUS CAN CHANGE
A clearance lasts up to 90 days. On longer projects, check again before the current clearance expires.
5. KEEP RECORDS
Keep a copy of each clearance when you are required to — it documents that you checked before work started.
