For Contractors
Contractor Listing Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
ConstruWeb reviews every contractor profile before it goes live to keep the directory trustworthy for homeowners.
To get listed, a contractor profile must have:
- A real, verifiable business name and working contact info (phone, email, or website)
- An accurate service area and trade category
- At least one real project photo (no stock photos)
- Truthful business details — no fabricated credentials or years in business
Not allowed:
- Fake reviews or testimonials
- Claiming licensed trade work (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, gas) without being able to provide a licence number if asked
- Duplicate accounts for the same business
- Copied content or photos from another business
Review process
New profiles are reviewed within 1-2 business days. If something's missing, we'll ask for changes rather than reject outright. Profiles that violate the rules above are rejected or removed; a contractor can reapply anytime after fixing the issue.
What we don't do
ConstruWeb does not verify licensing, insurance, or WSIB coverage — contractors self-attest, and homeowners should verify credentials directly before hiring. We don't guarantee lead volume or business outcomes tied to any subscription plan.
